Labor Day weekend this year was also the first Razorback home football game!
Jim and I were so glad to be there! There is nothing like the energy and excitement of the first game of the season!
We usually tailgate in the "pit" with our family but this year we went to the Alumni House.
It worked out well since it was almost 100 degrees outside! Being inside and enjoying their food and drinks were more enjoyable than sweating outside!

The Hogs beat Missouri State 51 - 7!
On Sunday, Jim and I took the boys for a overnight trip to Tulsa.
We went to the big Golf Galaxy store so Jim could check out some golf "stuff".
The boys love to use their putting green...
Christian picked Zios Italian Restaurant for lunch. It was sooo yummy!
Then we headed over to the Woodland Hills Mall for just a bit before checking into our hotel to rest and relax before dinner.
That evening we met Jim's brother John at the Cheesecake Factory for dinner.
As soon as we sat down, they brought Andrew a "toddler" plate of sliced bananas and bread to eat. How nice! Dinner was great and we were so glad Uncle John could join us! We even ordered Red Velvet Cheesecake and Christian's favorite, Strawberry Cheesecake.
We headed back to the hotel after dinner and was ready for bed! The boys slept in the floor of the hotel room--Christian in his sleeping bag and Andrew on his nap mat. They looked so cute crashed out on the floor next to each other...I wish I got a picture but Jim and I were just so glad they were sleeping that we did not want to wake them up! ;)
On Monday morning, we headed to the Tulsa Zoo after enjoying our breakfast at the hotel.
We arrived just a few minutes before they opened and it was perfect timing! We walked around the whole Zoo and then rode the train back to the entrance before lunchtime. Good thing we got there when we did because the line of people to get in was wrapped all around the parking lot and then the line of cars to get the zoo was at least 3 miles or more long! NO JOKE!

The weather was PERFECT for a day walking around the zoo. It was almost cool in the morning then the sun came out and warmed up by lunch time.

The boys loved the zoo. Their favorite animals were the penguins, lion and the lizards!
We grabbed lunch on the way out of town and then Andrew slept the whole way home! He did not wake up until we pulled into the garage! A fun little getaway with the boys!
