Andrew's Baptism

Jim and I are pleased to announce that Andrew Robert was baptized this past Sunday at our church, Central United Methodist in Rogers. Andrew wore the same baptism gown that his great grandad, Robert A. Sharum who recently passed away, wore when he was baptized. It is 88 years old. It has been through 4 generations. Jim, his siblings, his uncles and Christian all wore the gown.

After church, we had everyone over to our house for lunch. I even had a special cake made for the occasion...

Christian's 5th Birthday Party!

Saturday we had Christian's 5th Birthday Party at JumpZone in Bentonville. We invited all his friends from Tiny Tots, daycare and our close friends and family. I can't believe he is going to be 5 next week! Time flies! Christian had a BLAST! JumpZone is one of his favorite places to go, so he requested a "jumping party" this year!

Andrew LOVES it when Christian sings "If Your Happy and You Know It Clap Your Hands" and claps his little hands together. Andrew smiles so big and laughs!

Vacation Bible School!

Christian has been attending our church's Vacation Bible School all week! He has really enjoyed it! He loves to tell me what he learned and show me each craft he makes. We have also enjoyed the CD and DVD of all the music from VBS. Each evening we have danced to the songs and he has shown me all the moves! Since Andrew was still too young for the nursery, I could not volunteer this year. So I spent each morning running many errands that I have needed to get done for awhile. Luckily, Andrew has been great and slept through most of them! :)

The theme this year is "Croc0dile Dock". For example, today's craft was a "bug catcher", a small jar to catch a bug in. He also drew this picture...

He said the picture (going left to right then below) is him, a sun, a big bug and a worm. I think it is cute his bug and worm are smiling. ;)

We had a nice Father's Day. We went to Van Buren and had lunch with our family. Christian and I went swimming at Pops and GoGo's too. I did not take a single picture (I know, can you believe it??!!)So I thought I would share some of my favorite quotes about dads. :) Hope all you fathers out there had a wonderful Father's Day!

June Girls Night Out!

I was so excited about getting together again with my girlfriends for a girls night out! Since Dara and I have been pregnant and had babies, we have not been up for going out...probably in almost a year! So Friday night, me, Dara, Allison, Audrey and Mischelyn went to dinner at Powerhouse.

We each enjoyed a Kilowatt, Powerhouse's signature drink!

Ebay update!

Well, here is the update on my first sale on EBay. I was selling my Shirley Temple doll with a reserve of $200 but bidding only got as high as $152.50. So Ebay offers a thing called "second chance offer" which allows you to still sell your item to the highest bidder, even if the bidding did not reach your reserve price. So I went ahead and sold her and made the buyer pay shipping and insurance. I have already received payment and will be shipping her off to Ponca City, OK today! I may have to try this Ebay thing again with my Barbie collection. Pretty easy way to sell your stuff!

2 months old!

Guess who's 2 months old??

Monday, we took Andrew to his 2 month old check-up. He also had to get his first set of immunizations but he did great at the doctor and even after his shots! Christian was happy to be going to the doctor and it not be for him. :) When we walk into the office, he told the front desk lady, "I'm not sick, we are here for my little brother". :) Too cute. Christian brought his doctor kit to the appointment and he gave Andrew a "check-up" while we waited.

Andrew weighed 11 lbs. 9 oz. and was 21 3/4 inches long. He has gained almost 4 pounds and grown 2 inches since he was born! Dr. Hill said he looked good and was doing great! Andrew is now on formula and is enjoying his bottle feedings. Jim has really enjoyed getting to help feed Andrew and I think it has helped them bond too. :) Andrew rolled over from tummy to back for the first time at 7 1/2 weeks old! Very early! He has great focus and tries to talk and has even laughed! He is becoming a much happier baby and really only fusses in the evenings. Overnight, he is sleeping 4 to 5 1/2 hours at a time! Much better than feeding every 2 hours! He loves to watch Christian play too. The other day when he got a little fussy, I remembered my Baby Einstein movies and decided to put one on and see if he likes them. When I turned it on, he immediately got quiet and really liked watching it! I could see his eyes follow the objects from one side of the screen to the other....


He also likes to kick and grab at his dangling toys on his play arch.

Andrew is now holding onto his little toys and waves them around. His favorite is his little elephant. Isn't he just the sweetest??!!!

Garage Sale Weekend!

This past weekend, Jim and I had a garage sale. After clearing out our storage closets and redecorating our guest room, we had a ton of stuff to get rid of! Our total sales were $828! Rock on! Over $300 was big items like furniture pieces, but that's the most I have ever made on a garage sale! Christian was a big helper too. He got out his cash register and rang up everyone's items and checked them out. It was too cute and everyone got a kick out of it! We decided to open up Sunday afternoon and only had $50 in sales the second day, but the sun was out so we decided to have some fun in the sprinkler while we waited on customers!

Now that Christian is home with me all summer, we will be spending a lot of time outside! Now Christian can keep cool and play while I work on my tan. ;)
