Happy St. Patty's Day!

I love to decorate for St. Patrick's Day....can you tell? ;)

Christian came home from school with several shamrocks that they decorated in class while they ate "Lucky Charms" cereal. Christian made one for me, Andrew and Jim. He also had one that a little girl named Ava made for him. She said she drew a train on it because she knew he liked trains. Impressive. ;) Christian said he liked her because "she is smart like me, mom". Too funny! Glad he likes the smart girls.

A weekend of birthday celebrations...

Saturday night, Jim and I met up with Pops and GoGo, Grandmother, Will and John to celebrate John's 30th birthday! John chose Mister B's Steakhouse, one of my favorites. We had a relaxing and fun dinner with the family. John and Will, along with like 10+ friends are leaving for Vegas to celebrate John's birthday this week. It is fun to think my first time to go to Vegas was to celebrate John's 21st birthday. Where has the time gone?!

Later that night, Jim and I headed to Fayetteville to celebrate yet another birthday, my friend and co-worker Jamie's birthday. We met up with Jamie and Rachel along with a group of their friends at Common Grounds, one of our old favorite places from our college days.

After drinks and dessert, we headed to check out Boom Kinetic, a band that plays fun dance and 80s music at George's.

The band was good but we were out WAY past our bedtime. ;) We stayed and enjoyed a few of their songs then headed back home.

And to top it all off, we got Double Doozies from Cookie Co. on Monday at work! We were STUFFED!

Thanks to Hope for babysitting for us two nights in a row! You are the best!

Date night!

This past Friday night, Jim and I had another "date night". I have really enjoyed leading a marriage study recently for my Mom's Ministry class and love that going on a date with the hubby counts as "homework". :) This particular date night, we decided to stay close to home and heading just a few miles into town and tried Petit Bistro in Bentonville. It was perfect for a quiet evening of fine dining and just relaxing. A perfect adult restaurant with amazing food and service.It is located in an old cobblestone house that is set back in the woods a bit. We almost felt like we were not in Arkansas, but somewhere we would eat on vacation in Europe. I highly recommend it.

After dinner, we headed to see a funny movie a friend recommended, "Just Go With It".
Adam Sandler AND Dave Matthews were in it, so you can't go wrong. ;)

It was the funniest movie we have seen since The Hangover. Good stuff.

Taffetas!

Last Sunday, I took my wonderful mother-in-law and Grandmother-in-law to see my friend Hope in the production of "The Taffetas" for their birthdays. Christian came along too! He had to see his "Bopie" on the stage! The show was about a 1950s singing group on the radio hoping to get a gig on the Ed Sullivan show. It was a really cute show and Hope's singing blew me away! She is so very talented and we were so glad to get to see the show and support her!
Christian loved seeing Hope sing and said, "I wish I could get up on that stage and dance with her" during the show. Too cute.

Way to go Hope!!! We love you!

Dara's birthday celebration!

A few weeks ago, I met up with my gal pals to celebrate Dara's birthday! The birthday girl's choice...lunch, shopping and pedicures! Sounded great to me so I made it happen!

Dara, Susan, Allison, Jennifer and I had lunch at MiMi's and spent some time hitting a few favorite stores at the Promenade. Then we got pedicures at my nail place. It had been since Dara's wedding since she had a pedicure and it was Susan's first pedicure EVER! They were definitely due for some pampering! Jennifer and I treat ourselves to a pedicure from time to time. ;) I totally forgot to take a picture of us at lunch so we decided to snap a quick pic with my phone of our pretty toes! You know me and "feet" pics! Gotta love 'em!

Night Night!
