Ski trip!

Last month, Jim went skiing with his dad and brothers to Utah.
They went skiing at Snowbird, Deer Valley, Alta and the Park City Olympic Mountain!

Their last day in Utah, John signed up to do the Olympic Park Bobsled run adventure!

So glad Jim was able to enjoy his trip to Utah with his family!

Paint the Town Red!

A few weeks ago, we celebrated Susan's birthday at the Paint the Town Red event in Fayetteville.
It was a fundraiser for the American Heart Association held at Fayetteville Town Center.
So we got all dressed up in red and had a blast!
There was tons of great food, a silent auction and the band, Boom Kinetic was so fun!

Christian's new blanket!

For Christmas this year, Hope (Bopie) made a very special blanket for Christian.
A few months ago, they went to Hobby Lobby together and Hope let Christian pick out the colors. He chose a beautiful green and khaki color that look great together. Hope worked SO hard on making this blanket (I think she even worked on it in her car during her lunch break to get it done!)

He loves his super soft and cozy blanket! But he really loves Hope!
I could not ask for a better friend and babysitter for my sweet boys!

Crystal Bridges

Back in December, Jim and I took the boys on our first visit to Crystal Bridges.
We are so excited to have such an amazing museum in our area!


We only spent an hour in the museum on our first visit, but we still got to explore Wonder World and enjoy an afternoon snack in the eating area. I know this summer, we will spend more time exploring the trails around the museum and the amazing art inside!

Christian liked this work of art...mainly because he is really into boats right now. ;)

Can't wait to go back and explore more of the magnificent works of art almost in our backyard!

Swimming Achievement!

This past Monday, Christian had his cub scout den meeting at the indoor pool at Branchwood.

WAY on the west side of Bella Vista, he enjoyed an evening of swimming in January.
He got his swimmer's achievement certificate and will earn his swimming belt loop at this month's pack meeting. GO CHRISTIAN!

New Year's Day in Branson!

Christian and I started the year 2012 off with a fun trip to Branson!

Christian did not have school on Jan. 2nd but Andrew had MDO, so we decided to take advantage of an opportunity for an overnight trip! Jim took Andrew to MDO and had his own Dad's Day Out while Christian and I checked out some fun stuff in Branson!

Our first stop was to see the IMAX film by Sean Casey, "Tornado Alley". Christian loves to watch Stormchasers and really enjoys learning about weather and all the science around it.
Christian gave the movie two thumbs up! :)

It was our first IMAX film and both of us could not believe how big the screen was!

After the movie, we checked into our hotel and went swimming in the indoor pool!
Swimming in January...AWESOME!

We cleaned up for dinner and relaxed a bit in our hotel room.

That night, Christian wanted to have dinner at the Cracker Barrel! Perfect place to get our New Year's Day black eyed peas!

The next morning, we went to the World's Largest Toy Museum!
Christian and I were both impressed with the amount of toy cars they had!
Christian wanted his picture by the collection of police cars since he has his own collection at home.

Then we went to the Titanic Exhibit! They gave him a crew member badge and he loved exploring the ship!
What a fun little getaway we had together! I love being able to spend some one on one time with Christian. He is SO fun and a great traveler!

New Year's Eve! Welcome 2012!

This year was the first year since Jim and I have been married that we did not host a New Year's Eve party. We LOVED hosting the parties for 10 years but thought it would be fun to start doing something different each year. A new tradition for the next 10 years. ;)

Luckily, our friends Aaron and Allison offered to host a party this year!

We played lots of Dance Central for Kinect...

and ate lots of yummy food!

And lots of Rockband too!

I wore my FABULOUS shoes! ;)
