Diaper Shower!

On Saturday, some of my good friends hosted a diaper shower for me and my friend Dara. Dara is also due to have a baby, Charlotte Diane, 4 weeks before me. It has been fun being pregnant at the same time!

Allison hosted the brunch shower at her home! Our friends, Mischelyn, Kellie, Susan, and Kimberly all helped put together this wonderful day for us! All the food was delicious!



Kellie made these beautiful flower arrangements for the tables!

Mischelyn put together diaper cakes for both of us, a blue one for Andrew and a pink one for Charlotte!

Office Baby Shower!

On Friday, my office hosted a baby shower for Jim and I.

A special treat!

On Tuesday, Christian went to get his shots for kindergarten. His preschool class has been talking about getting shots and how it may hurt but just for a bit then have encouraged us as parents to reward them with a special treat afterwards. So I asked Christian what he wanted as his "special treat" and he said "a cupcake or donut" so I thought it would be fun to go to Krispy Kreme and have him pick out any donut he wants and watch the donuts being made. The shots were NOT fun but he was glad to get a treat afterwards!

A crazy story: While we were at Krispy Kreme, in walks in "Princess" Fergie (British royalty and former sister in law to Princess Diana, aka Weight Watchers spokesperson).
She had four people in her "entourage". Since the red light was on, the lady at the counter was handing out fresh, hot donuts to us. I could tell she knew that I knew who she was and she introduced herself tom me. She was really nice and said it was her first time in a "krispy kreme donut shop". She had one of her "people" go up to the counter to pay for the donuts because she did not realize they were free when the red light was on. How surprised she was! She said she was in Arkansas meeting with Wal-Mart people. It was her 2nd time to visit our area. She was heading to the airport and wanted to stop in. I would have taken a picture but another lady asked her if she could take her picture and she declined. Probably because she had no make-up on and was chowing down on donuts! How crazy was that?!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Christian had his school Valentines parties on Friday. On Saturday, Jim and Christian went to the Razorback basketball game together for a boys day out. I spent the day running errands and just having some time to myself to rest. For Valentine's Day, Jim and I had dinner at Fred's, a place we have gone to on Valentine's for a few years now. We ate early so we could go see a movie too! It was a great Valentine's Day!

Christian really enjoyed Valentine's Day this year! He even got a special Valentine's package in the mail from his Aunt Kimberly!

Getting ready for Valentine's Day!

The past couple evenings after dinner, Christian has been working on his Valentines. He is so excited to write his name (and his friend's names) on each one! He picked out "Cars" theme Valentines that came with pencils for all his preschool classmates.

He is writing so well! We are so proud of him!

Girls Night Out!

Friday night, I went to dinner and a movie with my girlfriends. We also celebrated Susan's birthday! We had dinner at Soul in Fayetteville then went to see Bride Wars. It was a nice and relaxing evening and the movie was fun!

Back to a normal week...

I was so glad to have had a normal week! After the ice storm and all of its adventures--being stuck inside, bad roads, no electricity for a day, and having some of our friends stay with us--it was nice to have things back to normal. This past weekend, we went to Van Buren to get our baby items out of Jim's parents attic. It was so fun going through the boxes of Christian's old baby clothes and imagining Andrew wearing them soon! Christian was such a good helper, as always! I spent each night doing a load of laundry and hanging baby clothes in Andrew's closet and filling his drawers with cute baby outfits. I had my 30 week appointment this past Monday and everything was good. Andrew is moving around all the time and his heart rate was in the 150s. I can't believe I have less than 10 weeks to go!
