Wedding cake, movie popcorn and steak!

Saturday afternoon, Jim and I had an afternoon on our own. Hope came to babysit while we went to a wedding for one of Jim's friends from work. After the wedding, we went to see the movie, The Hangover. It was one of the craziest, funniest movies we had seen in a long time!

We loved it!

Sunday afternoon, we decided to explore the new Wal-Mart neighborhood market that was just built near Pinnacle in Rogers.

But seriously, it was a REALLY nice store. It had a wonderful produce and meat section, coffee shop, gelato and lots of yummy food in their deli! We bought some good lookin' steaks and Jim grilled them for dinner this evening. Delicious!

Christian played outside in his pool and with his new outdoor art easel he got for his birthday from Pops and GoGo!

Luckily, this thing came with its own air pump and we did not have to blow it up ourselves!
Christian LOVES it! He can draw with chalk or paint pictures and then wash it all off with a hose and do it all over again!

Legally Blonde!

Wednesday night, I went to go see Legally Blonde the Musical and it was actually a cute show!
There were lots of girls there dressed up in pink and lots of mommies and their little girls too.
It is playing through Sunday at the Walton Arts Center, so if you need a girls night out, go see it!
It was a fun show!

It's "official", my big boy is 5!

On July 8th five years ago, I was blessed with a beautiful healthy baby boy!
I can't believe he is 5!

I told Christian that we could spend his birthday by going toy shopping so he could spend his birthday money from grandmother. We went to Dilly Dallys toy store but he did not find anything he really wanted. He then asked, what about a Star Wars toy? Off to Wal-Mart we went! WMT had the perfect toy---the spaceship fighter from Star Wars that Luke Skywalker flew! He was so excited! And it was only $16.76 and he had $20 to spend! Perfect!

I told him we could go wherever he wanted for lunch and he chose MiMis! :)
Jim was able to meet us for lunch too! Andrew slept through the whole thing so we had some good one on one time with Christian!

But his favorite toy is still his baby brother!

4th of July!

What a crazy 4th of July we had! We drove down to Van Buren on Friday afternoon. When we got to Pops and GoGo's house, Pops and Jim put together Andrew's crib at their house. Luckily after that, Andrew was tired so we decided to go out to eat at Big Jake's Steakhouse. He slept through the whole thing! We all had a wonderful dinner then went back to their house and sat outside visiting watching the sunset over the bluff. So nice.
On Saturday, Christian and I played outside during Andrew's morning nap. Jim went to play golf at Eagle Crest.

while my patriotic colors where displayed on my toes! I love to get fireworks on my toes for the 4th of July! :)

By the afternoon, a storm was rolling in. We had a huge down pour but it cleared by early evening. Pops was still able to cookout!

After dinner, we had a birthday cake for Christian with all of the family.

After the birthday celebration, another storm came and it rained hard. Then Pops and GoGo's electricity went off. We went outside on the patio under the cover and saw some of the Fort Smith fireworks but it was still daylight outside so it was not as neat as it could have been. At that point, we knew they would cancel the Van Buren fireworks and since the lights were out and the air conditioning was not working, we thought it would be best to go ahead and head home Saturday night. We scrambled around in the dark packing our things to head home. Andrew screamed the whole time but luckily went to sleep in the car on the way home. We were really disappointed that we missed watching fireworks on the bluff, but on the drive home we saw fireworks EVERYWHERE!
We saw big fireworks passing Alma, West Fork, Fayetteville, Rogers and Bentonville! We did not get home until around 10:30pm Sat. night and we were so tired and still had to unload everything. Andrew also decided to wake up twice during the night. So Sunday morning, we stayed home. Christian even let us go back to bed for a couple hours during Andrew's morning nap while he watched Empire Strikes Back. (He has been on a Star Wars kick recently). That afternoon, Jim helped me clean the whole house (WHAT AN AMAZING HUSBAND!) He even cooked out brauts on the grill Sunday evening and we had a relaxing dinner outside on our patio.

Christian's baby...

Christian has been a super duper big brother to Andrew! He loves to play with him, hold him, help burp him, etc. The other day, Christian decided that Mr. Bear was his new baby. (Remember Mr. Bear--from Build a Bear a few months ago?) So now when I feed Andrew, he feeds Mr. Bear, burps him, etc. It is really cute. Here just a few pictures...

As you can see, Andrew LOVES to watch his big brother play. Christian tells Andrew all about his toys and how he will teach him how to play when he get bigger. I am so blessed to have two sweet boys. Now if Andrew could just sleep through the night...

ARVEST1 Annual Golf Outing

This past Sunday afternoon was our ARVEST1 Trade Desk Golf Outing. Even though just a few of my co-workers play golf, we all give it a shot once a year and have lots of fun! Though I am married to a golfer, I have literally only played a handful of times since I started dating Jim almost 13 years ago. But I actually hit a few good shots (along with several not so good)! Stephanie even got me a hot pink golf ball to use. ;)
This year we played Lost Springs. We played a scramble--me, Steph, Jamie and Trent against Ty, Jen, Paul and John. Of course, our foursome won!
